Panelists from throughout the country will share their insights to discuss various ways in which seniors are redefining retirement and continuing to contribute to the workforce. They will explore the benefits and challenges of hiring and retaining older workers, including their experience, knowledge, and work ethic. They will also discuss the changing expectations and preferences of older workers, such as flexible schedules, work-from-home options, and opportunities for continued learning and development.
In addition, the panelists will share best practices and strategies for creating an age-friendly workplace, including the opportunities for intergenerational mentoring programs and initiatives to combat age discrimination. They will also discuss the potential economic and social benefits of an aging workforce, such as increased productivity, reduced healthcare costs, and greater social cohesion.

Liz Spath is an experienced health and benefits consultant responsible for understanding her clients’ HR and business objectives and proposing ideal benefit solutions that support those objectives. She delivers insightful analysis and advice for ongoing management and optimization of her clients’ employee benefit plans.
In her current role Liz is responsible for client relationship management, strategic planning, critical analysis as well as overseeing project management and day-to-day service delivery by the Mercer team. with over 20 years of employee benefits experience, she works with companies across an array of industries, geographies and sizes, with the majority being in the mid-market.
Liz is a mentor to other rising professionals at Mercer and in the local insurance industry. She chairs the steering committee for the Boston Women@Mercer business resource group and is actively involved in Mercer’s When Women Thrive initiative.
In 2016 Liz established the Mercer HR Leadership College, a unique three-day learning opportunity designed to provide senior HR professionals with a deep understanding of the broader HR challenges that may otherwise fall outside their current area of expertise in order to rise to the top ranks of their organization.
Outside of Mercer, she serves on the board of directors for the Manchester Area Human Resource Association (MAHRA), currently in the role of Sponsorship Director.
Liz is a licensed Life & Health Producer in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and six other states. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1997 and earned a Master’s of Science Degree from Boston University College of Communication in 2003.

Michael Garcia is the Chief Revenue Officer for MP HR, a national Human Capital Management (HCM) company headquartered in the Greater Boston Area. Garcia joined MP in November of 2019 and owns go-to-market strategy for MP’s sales, marketing, channel and customer success organizations to achieve new client acquisition and expansion revenue growth goals. Garcia has over 16 years in HCM sales, marketing, product and client success leadership. He held executive sales leadership positions at BenefitMall HCM Division, Paycor, Paychex and Execupay. Garcia resides in Boston with his partner, Jeff and had the pleasure of relocating to New England from Dallas four years ago. He is a proud supporter of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus.

With over 10+ years of employee benefits and administration experience delivering creative and effective solutions at the population and member level, he has overseen and impacted the extraordinary changes that have affected the employer sponsored health and welfare landscape. Using the intersection of payroll, benefits, technology, human resources, and healthcare delivery, is a passion. Daniel uses this experience and market knowledge to advocate on behalf of Alera’s 150+ firms and their thousands of clients and employees.

Greg joined Sentinel Group in 2011 and became a Partner in 2023. His responsibilities include providing expert advice, developing solutions and executing strategies for current and future Health & Welfare clients. Greg oversees Sentinel Insurance Agency’s consulting team and is focused on helping organizations design, implement, communicate and administer their employee benefit offerings. Greg concentrates much of his time on helping companies navigate today’s difficult regulatory landscape and implement tax advantaged accounts to help mitigate healthcare expenses.
